Dr. Chris Cunningham
Dr. Chris has been a Christian for more than 45 years, most of which he has served in some leadership role in the local church. He has a passion for prayer, intercession and revival. It was love at first sight for Dr. Chris, but Dahlia had other plans and so it wasn't until after four long years of courtship she gave in and the two were married in June 1987 (33 years). They are now ministry partners.
He was ordained as a minister of the Gospel in January 2004. He formerly facilitated the International Café Service at New Life Church, which had attendees from more than thirty countries. He has also taught more than 1,500 students at the college and university levels, 2003-2018.
Dr. Chris has worked in the media for more than 32 years. He earned a Ph.D. in Communication from Regent University. He also has a Masters in Cinema-Television (Producing and also Directing), and a Bachelor's Degree from Trinity International University in Biblical Studies (summa cum laude). Dr. Chris is the author of three books - Worship 101: Discovering the God We Worship in 101 Ways (English and Mandarin Chinese), The Enoch Treasure: When God Walks with a Friend and You May Be White, But You're Alright.
He is also an award winning writer and producer with years of experience as a team builder and teacher/trainer. Dr. Chris has a versatile gift mix with the ability to seamlessly transition between writing proposals, conducting training seminars, directing a complete video, audio, photography or web-based projects, editing complex documents and trouble-shooting technical problems. This makes him an innovative problem solver and critical thinker with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, while producing exceptional results under tight deadlines. He is therefore able to consult with churches and organizations on many levels for the purpose of community transformation.

Pastor Bob was ordained in 1978 after serving five years as a Marine pilot during Vietnam. In his 30+ years of pastoral service, he worked in Presbyterian, Vineyard, Baptist and Episcopal churches. Before all that, he was a born-again Catholic who studied to be a priest for a while. Pastor Bob has a BA in History and an MDiv in Theology.
He became a Christian at 8 and fell in love with Him as his Heavenly Father–right after his parent’s divorce when he really needed more love. According to Pastor Bob, “My wife, Beth, still loves me after 49 years of marriage and I love her more now than I did when we married! Our four children all love the Lord a lot—thanks to God’s grace, a great mother in Beth and a lot of prayers by me. Now, we enjoy our 10 grandchildren, eight of which live locally.”
God has given him a calling to serve pastors and churches in Hampton Roads helping them to unite and work together to bring God’s Kingdom to earth here and around the globe. He feels called be a pastor to the region as well as to our church. “I guess you could call me a pastor with a missionary’s heart. My deepest burden is for lost people overseas who may never meet a real Christian, hear the Gospel or see someone healed in Jesus’ Name.”
